The All Progressives Congress (APC) Campaign Council for the forthcoming Local Government Council Elections in Edda Local Government Area of Ebonyi State has recorded another major show of strength, as party faithful, stakeholders and supporters turned out in large numbers to receive the campaign train in Ogbu Ward.

The ward-to-ward campaign, which formed part of the second day of the Edda LGA APC campaign activities, was led by the Chairman of the Campaign Council, Distinguished Senator Soni Ogbuoji, represented by the Council Secretary, Hon. Nkama Nkama Ude.

The campaign rally witnessed an impressive display of unity, solidarity and enthusiasm, with community leaders, youths, women and party supporters expressing confidence in the APC's chances in the forthcoming council elections.

A major highlight of the rally was the official presentation of the APC flag to the party's candidate for Ogbu Ward councillorship, Hon. Julius Ugwu Chukwu, symbolising the party's confidence in his candidacy and its determination to secure victory across the ward.

Addressing party supporters, Hon. Nkama Nkama Ude, who represented Senator Soni Ogbuoji, urged APC members to remain united, committed and focused on mobilising eligible voters for the party's candidates.

Ude said the APC remained the best platform for the continued development and stability of Edda, stressing that Governor Francis Nwifuru had demonstrated his commitment to the people of the area.

He commended the Governor for retaining their son, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha, as State Chairman of the APC, describing the development as a demonstration of the Governor's confidence in the people of Edda.

According to him, the emergence of Hon. Simeon Oko Onuoha Omezue as the APC chairmanship candidate would further consolidate peace and unity in Edda Local Government Area.

He said, “Edda does not want crisis. What we need is peace, unity and development. The candidacy of Omezue will usher in peace and sustain the peace that was started by Prince Chima Ekumankama.”

He therefore called on the people of Ogbu Ward to vote massively for the APC at all levels during the election.

The APC chairmanship candidate, Hon. Simeon Oko Onuoha Omezue, expressed appreciation to the people of Ogbu Ward for the “massive and electrifying reception” accorded to the campaign team.

Omezue promised to run an all-inclusive administration that would give every community and stakeholder in Edda a sense of belonging, while prioritising peace, unity and development.

He urged the people to support the APC and work collectively to ensure victory for the party in the forthcoming local government elections.

The rally also attracted political leaders, community stakeholders and party faithful, including the Coordinator of Edda West Development Centre, Hon. Jecklin Onwubiko; the Coordinator of the Ogbu Ward Campaign Committee, Dr. Uchenna Okoro; and stakeholder Chief Osuu Ukpai Okam Waya, who delivered goodwill messages in support of the APC candidates.
