Hon. Jecklin Onwubiku highlighted the various developmental strides of Governor Francis Nwifuru's two-year administration, including: - Construction of concrete-paved roads across various communities - Rehabilitation of the Ezillo and Oferekpe water schemes - Recruitment of workers into the state civil service - Award of scholarships to Ebonyi indigenes to study abroad and at home - Construction of befitting palaces for traditional rulers in the state and Construction of 2 km roads in each autonomous community. - Building of an industrial cluster in Izziamgbo - Rehabilitation of Ebonyi Airport and ongoing construction of two new universities.
He commended Governor Nwifuru for keeping his campaign promises and delivering dividends of democracy in record time through his People's Charter of Needs mantra, saying that his second tenure in 2027 is not negotiable.
The Coordinator said that his administration has been following in the footsteps of the Governor by taking the strides down to the grassroots. He said that, apart from renovating the DC Secretariat, providing scholarships to needy students, supporting the needy, and appointing 21 Special Assistants, his administration has also commenced the re -construction of the Anglican Church/Kelechi road in Itim, which includes three culverts and drainage systems.
Several speakers during the town hall meeting, including traditional rulers, political and religious leaders, youths and women groups, commended Governor Francis Nwifuru for his commitment to the development of all parts of the state, applauding the coordinator for following in the footsteps of Governor Nwifuru.
