Edda West DC Coordinator Kicks Off Repair Works on Ebunwana-Igbara Road

The Coordinator of Edda West Development Council, Hon. Jecklin Onwubiko Ukpai, has commenced repair works on the failed portions of the Ebunwana-Igbara road.
The road had been experiencing erosion due to natural and human activities, prompting the Ebunwana Council of Traditional Rulers to raise an alarm on August 21, 2025. Impressively, Hon. Ukpai swung into action just five days later, on August 25, 2025, and has promised to complete the work before the weekend.

At the site, significant progress has been made, with heavy skilled labor working tirelessly to restore the road. The repair process involves laying a concrete stone base, followed by laterite on the failed portions.

This initiative underscores Hon. Ukpai's commitment to improving the lives of the people in Edda West. Notably, he also has a road project underway in Itim Edda, demonstrating his dedication to infrastructure development in the area.
The swift response to the road's deterioration and the coordinator's proactive approach have been well-received by the community, reflecting positively on his leadership and vision for Edda West Development Center.
