The Catholic Women Organization (CWO) of St. Paul's Parish, Onuebonyi, has honored Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha, the State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ebonyi, with a prestigious award of excellence.
The organization conferred on him the title "Ezinwanne Di Na Mba" during their 2025 August Convention/3rd Award Ceremony.
The parish priest, Rev. Fr. Dr. Abraham Nwali, presented the award, citing Chief Emegha's significant contributions to the church and society.
Fr. Nwali urged Emegha to continue his good work, highlighting his own achievements as parish priest, including transforming the church from a bushy area to a beautiful place of worship.
In his acceptance speech, Chief Emegha expressed gratitude to God and the church for the recognition. He pledged to continue working with the church to instill morals and values in the people, alongside Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru's administration.
"I thank God for a day like this. I thank the church and the CWO in particular for finding me worthy to be honored".
"Ebonyi state government steered by a God fearing governor, Rt Hon Bldr Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru shall continue to work in synergy with the church to inculcate in the people morals and societal values. Yes, moral upbringing matters a lot in the society.
"I urge the church, especially the women to continue praying for Governor Nwifuru to succeed in governance and give the best to the state. Bible recorded much about women and God listens to their prayers.
"I am happy I know our daddy in the Lord, Rev Fr Nwali because he is a great teacher and counselor. His teachings motivate us a lot and that's why wherever he's posted to, we continue to visit and identify with him", he stated.
Emegha made a cash donation of one million naira to the church and promised to support them whenever called upon.
