Vote of Confidence: Ebonyi ADC Unites Behind Nwafor, Sets Sights on 2027 APC Takeover

The State Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Ebonyi State, Mrs. Jennifer Adibe Nwafor, has declared that the party is poised to wrestle power from the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections.

Speaking at a one-day expanded meeting in Abakaliki, Nwafor described the ADC as the "new bride" of Nigerian politics, attracting defectors from major parties.

She emphasized that the party is on a "serious rescue mission" and is determined to reposition Nigeria's democratic governance from top to bottom. Nwafor declared.

"We are focused. We are united. We are ready to rescue Nigeria come 2027, starting from Ebonyi."

The meeting, attended by party faithful from all 13 local government areas and coalition partners, culminated in a unanimous vote of confidence in Nwafor's leadership.

The ADC chairman warned against backdoor membership and emphasized the need for unity under one recognized structure. "There's only one ADC in Ebonyi. No factions. Anyone claiming otherwise must identify openly," she stated.

Speakers at the meeting, including Chuks Obiri, Orji Joseph, Elder Sam Igwe, and Chinenye Ogazi, called for aggressive grassroots mobilization, structured ward and local government leadership, legal support, and strategic media engagement. They emphasized that the party's focus should be on rebuilding Nigeria, rather than engaging in money politics.

Coalition stakeholders described the ADC movement as a source of panic among ruling party circles, saying, "This movement has sent fear into APC camps across the country. A storm is coming."
