As the Honorable Commissioner of Internal Security, Hon Prince Etta Ụka Ude, marks two years in office, Ebonyi State stands tall as a shining example of peace, security, and progress in Nigeria. Under his visionary and intellectual-based leadership, the state has witnessed a drastic reduction in crime, communal crisis and other forms of criminality, ensuring the safety of lives and properties while fostering an environment conducive to growth and development.
Since his appointment, Hon Prince Etta Ụka has worked tirelessly to implement strategic security measures and training/retraining of the officers of the Neighborhood Watch and maintained a robust synergy with the Security Agencies that have transformed Ebonyi into the safest state in the region. Through proactive intelligence gathering, community policing, and collaboration with security agencies, criminal activities such as kidnapping, armed robbery, and communal clashes have been significantly curtailed.
Acknowledging the importance of Security in the development of every society, and as the primary obligation of the government, Hon Prince Etta Ụka's outstanding performance in the Ministry of Internal Security aligns perfectly with the Ebonyi People’s Charter of Needs mantra of His Excellency, Rt Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, the Executive Governor of our dear State, which prioritizes security as a fundamental pillar of development. By creating a secure environment, businesses thrive, investors gain confidence, and citizens enjoy peace—a testament to the government’s commitment to the welfare of its people.
The Honourable Commissioner of Internal Security, Prince Etta Ụka has creditably maintained peace and security of lives and properties in different communities in Ebonyi State through his crucial involvements in the transparent, credible and peaceful Town Union elections and transition of power, thereby averting the probabilities of breakdown of laws as recorded in the past. Through Town Hall meetings with critical stakeholders of crisis prone communities, the business of Security of lives and properties of Ndị Ebonyi is now understood as everyone business.
While celebrating these milestones, the Ministry of Internal Security under the Commission of Hon Prince Etta Ụka Ude remains committed to sustaining and improving on these gains.
